Emergencies
Acorn House operates a 24hr day, 365 days a year service.
In case of an out of hours emergency please TELEPHONE 01234 261839. You will hear a recorded message giving two telephone numbers:
- The mobile of the veterinary surgeon on call
- The landline of the nurse on call at Acorn House
Please call the number of the veterinary surgeon on call. If you cannot contact them, then phone the landline of the nurse on call.
Remember to NOT PANIC and state your name, address, animal's name and the cause for concern. You will be questioned and advice given or, in some cases, asked to attend the surgery.
Our out of hours service is staffed entirely by members of our practice at our surgery. We have a dedicated on-call nurse caring for pets staying overnight.
HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS DO NOT ALLOW US TO OPEN THE DOOR WITHOUT PRIOR ARRANGEMENT.
If you have not telephoned the on call Veterinary Surgeon or have found injured wildlife, please call the emergency service on 01234 261839.
Out of hours service is provided from:
Mon-Fri 7pm to 8.30am
Sat 1pm to 8.30am Monday
Out of hours consult fees (excluding wildlife)
£89.98 - £107.87
If you are not a client of Acorn House and you wish to use our out of hours service you will be asked to pay a new client registration fee of £35.96 in addition to the above fees
